The Leona Woman Part II

Thank you to everyone for the wonderful and positive comments on our Leona Woman blog! It is so exciting for us to feature different ladies from our community. This time we are thrilled to present a collectively cool CPA that is also a stylish stepmom. Lorena Castillo is a Certified Public Accountant and partner in the accounting firm of Negrete & Castillo.

She was born and raised in McAllen and attended the University of Texas-Pan American. She currently serves on various community boards including the Children’s Advocacy Center of Hidalgo County, Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. and Juan Diego Academy. She is past president of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, RGV Chapter, past president of the Junior League of McAllen, past commissioner for McAllen Housing Authority and has also served on the Texas Bar Foundation’s board as a public member.

When this energetic lady isn’t busy crunching numbers, she is out having fun with her husband Jorge and her stepson Nate.

With Tax Day behind her and Mother’s Day around the corner, Lorena was gracious enough to model some of the newest fashions for us.
